Title of work: Biospectrum analysis of allied taxa of Nothapodytes found in Kerala with special reference to anticancer properties Family Icacinaceae has been received much attention by the presence of camptothecine. Presently, an unexplored member, Apodytes dimidiata was selected for the study. Antioxidant, anti-mutagenic and anti-promortional, cytotoxic and antitumor potential of the Active Methanolic Extract (AMF) of the plant is documented (Divya et al., 2016b). AMF is induced intrinsic mitochondrial mediated apoptosis and cell cycle arrest at G 1 in HeLa cells. Genipin is identified as the key bioactive component (Divya et al., 2015; 2016a). Chemopreventive/anti-cancer properties of the plant detected highlighting its pharmacological potential
